INTERMEDIATE SHOPIFY DEVELOPER

Flight Digital is an ambitious and dynamic digitally-led marketing agency. We work with our clients to identify opportunities, plan, craft, report, optimise and repeat. We are a team of storytellers, engineers, dreamers and doers united by a passion for solving meaningful problems, and driven by a desire to make a difference.

With a massive 2020 behind us which saw our team grow by a whopping 50% we are looking to continue our growth into 2021 with the addition of some key roles. We are currently recruiting an Intermediate Shopify Developer who will work directly with our creative team, account managers and project managers to produce work they can be proud of for brands their friends have heard of.

Our developers are responsible for building, testing and debugging clean and compliant code. They are passionate technologists who thrive on building user interfaces that people love. Intermediate Shopify developers are able to lead juniors, taking responsibility for operational moments and taking pride in delivering to a high standard.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Work as part of a development team to create market leading web and mobile applications.
  • • Collaborate with project managers, designers and marketers to help deliver practical and engaging development solutions for clients
  • • Actively contribute to Flight’s company culture
  • • Work closely with other web developers on larger projects
  • • Challenge and help develop our technical processes to help us innovate and improve our operational efficiencies
  • • Design front-end architecture that integrates with other systems and technologies.
  • • Help translate technical solutions to an understandable format for both clients and the internal team

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • • Proven knowledge of JavaScript frameworks – we usually build in React or Liquid. Experience in these is preferable but not a requirement.
  • • Experience in modern best practice development methodologies (webpack, gitflow etc)
  • • Experience working with QA teams and processes (would be an advantage)
  • • Client facing experience would be an advantage
  • • Strong understanding of responsive & adaptive design principles, including experience with responsive frameworks
  • • Strong working knowledge developing cross platform/browser compatibility (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.) for dynamic web applications
  • • Pride and ownership in what you create
  • • Enjoy collaborating as part of a team
  • • Experience working with content management systems or server side frameworks is a plus
  • • Experience working with Jamstack or Shopify would be a plus

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / CAMPAIGN MANAGER

With a massive 2020 behind us which saw our team grow by a whopping 50% we are looking to continue our growth into 2021 with the addition of some key roles. The Account Executive role is an integral position for a motivated, organised and focused individual who is just as passionate about the digital landscape as us!

This role will assist in the management of our portfolio of clients. You will work closely with our Account Service team to nurture new and existing client relationships, ensuring the delivery of quality work while assisting with ongoing small to medium projects.

You will also play an important role in ensuring the office runs efficiently by spending approximately 30% of your capacity on office management. This is a temporary assignment and in 2022 you will shift away from this element of  the role as you take on your own clients into 2022 and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Ability to be energetic in approach, flexible and able to prioritise with ease and confidence.
  • • Keep communication flowing and ensure your team and in some cases the client is well informed and expectations are met.
  • • Ability to build rapport and build relationships both internally and externally.
  • • Ability to problem solve and proactively seek out solutions where needed.
  • • Recognise and raise the alarm on threats or potential issues within accounts.
  • • Update and maintain customer records.
  • • Collaborate with senior account managers to contribute to the management of some commercial aspects of the client relationship including contracts, pricing, profitability, internal revenue and profit forecasting.
  • • Continually increase knowledge of the client’s business and industry
  • • Assist in ‘on-boarding’ new client relationships.
  • • Work to stay current with industry trends and best practices
  • • Some general office management

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • • Proven account management or relevant marketing experience of at least 1 year.
  • • Experience managing customer relationships.
  • • Some experience or understanding of platforms such as Google and Facebook advertising tools.
  • • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field.

PERFORMANCE MANAGER (DIGITAL MARKETING PAID)

We are a team of storytellers, engineers, dreamers and doers united by a passion for solving meaningful problems, and driven by a desire to make a difference.

We’re looking for an experienced, data-driven Performance Manager to assist with the Flight Digitals growth through delivering multi-channel, performance digital marketing for the agency and our clients.

You will be responsible for driving strategy, execution, and optimisation of paid advertising across new and existing channels. You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organisation that makes data-driven decisions. You’ll have strengths in paid advertising across both Google and social channels. You’ll seek to understand the importance of which Design, UX/UI, Development, SEO, Traditional and Digital Marketing play in creating and optimising an effective customer journey (to create experiences that people love).

You will be working within a Performance Marketing studio which focuses on Digital Commerce Acceleration and Lead Generation through digital marketing channels. You’ll work alongside a CX focused client services team, a creative studio as well as a digital projects studio.

WHAT’S REQUIRED

  • • 3+ years of digital marketing, analytics & platforms expertise PPC and/or Facebook
  • • Exposure to various Martech solutions particularly Google Marketing & Marketing Automation software
  • • Experience in Facebook Business Manager
  • • Experience in Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube)
  • • Ability to apply knowledge to upcoming mediums such as TikTok and Snapchat
  • • Proven track record successfully managing and optimising clients media budgets.

  • • Working with our client services team to propose and deliver fit for purpose digital marketing solutions for our clients
  • • Obsession with experimentation (ex – A/B testing, website & landing page iteration) and automation (ex – email, content triggers)
