From technical debt to scalable growth. We replatformed a multi-brand, multi-market travel group onto a modern headless architecture; transforming a complex, high-traffic ecosystem into a flexible, revenue-driving digital engine.

Active Adventures, Austin Adventures and Discovery Bicycle Tours operate across the US, UK, New Zealand and Australia; with dynamic sales cycles, high traffic volumes and complex booking requirements. Their legacy SilverStripe platform carried significant technical debt, limiting agility, performance and integration capability. We rebuilt the ecosystem using Sanity in a headless architecture, creating a flexible foundation that supports seamless integrations, dynamic content control and long-term scalability.

Travel decisions begin with inspiration but they convert through clarity.

We redesigned the user experience to balance immersive storytelling with a high-performing booking engine. Seamless user flows guide visitors from destination discovery through to enquiry and booking, reducing friction in a competitive tourism market. The result is an experience that inspires adventure while driving measurable sales performance.

Integrations were central to the transformation.

We engineered a system that connects booking platforms, CRM tools and marketing systems into a unified digital ecosystem; enabling smarter data flows and stronger lead management. The modular headless framework gives internal teams autonomy to adjust content, promote specific tours, and respond dynamically to sales demand; putting control back in their hands.

With improved site speed, clearer user journeys and stronger technical SEO, the ecosystem is designed not just to attract traffic but to retain it and convert it.

SEO and discoverability were built into the foundation. Structured content, regionalisation and performance optimisation ensure the platform is prepared for evolving search behaviours across markets.
